Brett Gould has been making quite the name for himself with his latest release on Incorrect Music. ‘Body Language’ EP has already been on a steady rise since it saw its way into tech-house music lover’s hearts just a few days ago.
With the King Dirty Bird aka Claude Vonstroke slaying ‘Body Language’ amongst the iconic DC-10 terrace dancefloor, we now have reassurance from the house gods that this mighty tune is on the way to the top… and fast. Body Language EP has taken over the front of the Beatport Tech House page and even has hit remixes from Paul C & Paolo Martini and Incorrect Music label boss Anthony Attalla. And this is just the beginning for this aspiring East London artist.
Body Language EP takes you on a ride through the most lush tech-house and deep-house soundscapes putting your body into complete shock sustaining a 4/4 rhythm body pulse as you reach an ultimate altered state of tech-consciousness. This succulent tech-driven EP is packed full of dancefloor ready tunes including the original ‘Body Language’ by Brett Gould as well as a thick remix from label boss Anthony Attalla Prepare for Brett to take you even funkier and deeper with ‘They Wanted The Funk’ and when you have Paul C & Paolo Martini on remix duties, a groove-filled gem is always the result.
Born and raised in East London, Brett Gould’s musical career has been a journey through discovery of many different sounds. From his debut single ‘Premonition’ on Low Bit Records, Brett’s unique style gained big attention from the likes of Toolroom, Glasgow Underground, and OFF Recordings with “Rhythm Drop” reaching #12 in the Beatport Tech House Charts, as well as DJ support from Rob da Bank, Monki (BBC Radio1), Josh Butler, Waifs and Strays, Sasha, and Doctor Dru.
Further releases have seen him gain support from B.Traits, Lee Foss, Skream, Groove Armada, Steve Lawler, Wally Lopez, Tensnake & Low Steppa. Remix wise, Brett made a name for himself with his re-work of Kevin McKay’s ‘Club Trax’ on OFF Recordings, which reached the Top 20 in the Beatport Deep House Chart, and his remix of Grum’s ‘In Love’ doing the same on Trice/Armada Recordings. His Remix Of Illyus & Barrientos ‘Need Me’ being the stand out remix so far.
His release on Glasgow Underground ’All Of A Sudden’ recently hit the number 1 spot on Track It Down followed by ‘Belong’ on Lapsus Music which charted high on Beatport & Traxsource. Hie has now been signed to Riva Starr’s Snatch records and his next release has been remixed by Italian superstars Paul C & Paolo Martini. It is fair to say that Brett Gould looks set to make 2016 his year.
